Why All Hallows’ Eve is the Perfect Date Night

It’s no secret, we at Plentymore Towers are totally pumpkin for All Hallows’ Eve. (You may have noticed some odd looking images of us on our Facebook page last weekend). We love it, not only because it’s fun, but because we think it makes for the perfect date night. Here’s why:

Scare Factor

We all know how fear can cause a racing heart rate and a feeling of tension that we usually don’t experience on a regular basis – unless you are Felix Baumgartner or Evil Kenevil. Most of us don’t realise, that once the fear subsides, relaxation takes its place, sometimes even arousal. Perfect conditions to put you at ease and get you in the mood for flirting. Head out to the movies or a haunted house tour with your date and who knows, it might just lead to a little bedroom treat later that night.

Dress Up

Without a party to go to, many will dismiss the idea of donning a costume. Not so quick! Dressing up can really crank up the heat in a relationship and spice things up in the boudoir. Let’s be honest, which lady doesn’t secretly fantasise about a vampire sucking at her bare bosom? Think about it, you can be someone completely different for a night and really let go of any shyness or insecurities. Just make sure you are both on the same page and are clear about the boundaries.

Tantalise Your Tastebuds

Halloween can make us all a little more adventurous and that extends to trying new tastes. Take advantage of this by spicing things up with aphrodisiac foods. Hot chilies contain a chemical called Capsaicin which increases circulation to get blood pumping and stimulates nerve endings so you’ll feel more turned on. Oysters are brimming with zinc, a mineral which has been linked to boost sex drive. And Bananas, well, need I say more? Put on a spread and get nibbling.

Ghouly Ghosts

For those of you who take an interest in the supernatural, tonight offers a great opportunity to get closer to your sweetheart on a more spiritual level. Exploring the idea of what lies beyond this mortal coil and sharing how you feel about this with your date is an excellent way to get a little closer in your relationship, or perhaps learn things about each other that you never knew. You could even take part in a séance or get the Quija board out from under the sofa and give Elvis a call. Be warned though, it could scare the pants off you. Unless that is the intended effect. 😉
