Fifty Shades of Yay or Nay!

With all the media hype currently surrounding the 50 Shades trilogy, we’ve come across several press releases posted by Sugar Daddy sites claiming that business is booming. Apparently women are flocking in droves to these types of sites, looking for their own version of Christian Grey. Um sure, who wouldn’t want to be with a Shazillionaire Supermodel with the stamina of a Siberian snow leopard? As if George Clooney is going to walk into your house at any moment and ask for your hand in marriage. Come ON!

Seriously, what happened to sexual equality? Throughout history women have fought for the rights us Western ladies now take for granted. I’m not saying that by being a Sugar Baby you are sending us all on a one-way trip to Ding-Dong-The-Witch-Is-Dead-Ville but my point is that we can’t have it both ways. We either want to be treated as equals or we don’t and our behaviour and message have to match. No cop outs gurlz!

But maybe I’m doing these sites and their members an injustice. People who sign up are consenting adults and free to do as they see fit. If it means people find what they have been looking for and what makes them happy, who am I to judge, right?
