Do looks matter?
According to a recent study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, a relationship is less likely to work if the woman is more attractive than her male partner. Apparently, it has no effect on the relationship if the male is rated more attractive than woman. Interesting stuff eh?! But, how true can this actually be?
This conclusion was reached after individual photos of more than 100 couples were rated on their looks. The analysis revealed that if the women were rated as more attractive than their male partner then the relationship only lasted a couple of months.
The study also found that we tend to pair up with people whose facial features also have a similar level of symmetry. All these findings seems to be suggesting that ideal partner is one on “our level.”
Hmm what do you guys think?
