PlentyMore ideas for that special date…
Sometimes finding a new and different romantic idea for a date can be a right old challenge!
So, at the PlentyMore Towers we have been busy doing our research and have gathered a load of our favourite dates to help you out!
Brighton
Try some oysters at Riddle and Finns Champagne and Oyster bar. Oysters, as a well known aphrodisiac could get your temperatures rising. (teerrrwwwitt twooooo!) Afterwards, why not surprise your date and book a box for two at the Theatre Royal?
Bristol
Do you and your date fancy a bit of action? Well, head to Cheddar’s famous limestone gorge for a range of adrenaline activities such as adventure caving or rock climbing. Looking for a bit of culture? Take your date to the City Museum and Art Gallery for some truly outstanding collections of art, archaeology, geology and natural history. I have been told that the Banksy exhibition last year was very good indeed!
London
Take your date on a trip around Kew Gardens and climb 18 metres into the tree canopy for a spectacular new experience! Or take a boat out onto the Serpentine in Hyde Park. With over 4,000 trees, a rose garden, a lake, meadow and much more – you will completely forget you’re in the capital! Round the night up by heading to the romantically located restaurant, The Belvedere in Holland Park for some “fine dining and affordable glamour”.
Birmingham
Head to the Jam House in Birmingham and dine on the balcony above the main stage where soulful musicians will entertain you throughout the evening. The dusky purple lights cast romantic shadows on the walls of the funky, jazz-centric venue. Around the Christmas period we would strongly recommend venturing down to the Frankfurt Christmas Market– the biggest Christmas market outside of Germany. You can enjoy some real treats here such as; German mulled wine, German beer, crepes, gingerbread and marzipan sweets. (YUM!)
Manchester
Gothic architecture your thing? Have a wonder around John Rylands breathtaking gothic library and enjoy the true masterpiece of gothic architecture together. After this, I would take advantage of the shopping facilities Manchester offers and head straight to The Trafford Centre. Next, onto one of Manchester’s hidden culinary secrets “Ramsons” and enjoy some fine Italian dining in a romantic candlelit hideaway.
York
Wonder the beautiful cobbled corridors in York together. We recommend a trip to the Evil Eye lounge for some rather exciting food and drink. However, keep your eyes peeled as it can be easily missed on the cobbled street of Stonegate. After, maybe take a trip to the York Dungeons if your brave enough! Or, head to one of the greatest cathedrals in the world- the York Minster and view some magnificently jaw-dropping architecture.
Newcastle
We would would highly recommend taking your date to SIX at the top of the Baltic art centre. Here, you will enjoy some stunning panoramic views across Newcastle & Gateshead and enjoy beautifully cooked modern English cuisine. Afterthis, cross the Tyne via the millennium bridge and venture up to The Fourth for a cheeky tipple! With a huge selection of beer, ale, wine and spirits you will be spoilt for choice!
Here are some places the PlentyMore team have been to and would strongly recommend.
We are also bound to have missed some fab date venues out…
So, tell us what you think… are there any places that you would recommend for that special date? As usual, all comments welcome 🙂
